I have Seen the Lord

I have Seen the Lord

John 20:18: “Mary Magdalene went and announced to the disciples, ‘I have seen the Lord.’”

Mary came to the tomb heartbroken, but she left with her soul on fire. She was just hoping to be near Jesus one last time, but instead, she met Him alive. In a single moment, everything changed.

“I have seen the Lord”—these words didn’t come from a perfect person, but from a woman who had known deep pain, deep love, and now deep joy. Her tears became a message that still brings hope today.

This one line reminds us: even when life feels empty, Jesus is closer than we think. He speaks our name right into the silence. He meets us where we are and gives us something to live for.

Like Mary, we can say, even with trembling hands and tearful eyes: I have seen the Lord. And somehow, that changes everything.
